So I did an art trade on the RPG I rejoined after a 3 year break, and this was the other person's character she wanted a picture for. A pegasus, named Hippy, but instead of regular bat or feathered wings, she has flower petal wings. It took me a couple days of thinking about it, how would I implement that and make it look...semi-realistic and believable? Well I had the idea just to cut some daisy stock out and add them in "wing" form on the sides and be done with it, then I thought: too easy and would be boring/drab/not executed well. And came up with the overlay reference idea. well minus the reference on the actual picture in the end...so I found greencheek's "how to draw wings" four part picture and built from there.
I think...I'm done with manipulation this week; possibly this weekend I'll pick it up again.
I have to thank my reference, guide person for helping me build the wings. has a great reference for drawing or in my case, building realistic wings. some parts of the wing were of course modified for this endeavor.

Only thing I allow is desktop background useage.
